Australia's Brainiest Comedian

Stretching an hour into 90 minutes, the Australia's Brainiest Kid quiz show tweaked itself as Australia's Brainiest Comedian. Host Sandra Sully and the set as hang over remnants of the children's version. Small talk with the contestants reveal them all to be pretty working in the land of radio if not behind the scenes in limbo altogether.

Off in the first round, the contestants are uneasy with the task of showing up way they're considered comedians. Louder and more frenetic as the questions pass. Doing what the kids were unable to do, all of them managed to strike out on a first round question. No knowing Gordon as the pilot of Thunderbird 4. Age shall not be a great keep of the pop culture.

Libby Gorr, Hamish Blake and Peter Berner fall foul of the first round. Blake struggling from the very start, a distant last against the other players. His light is hardly on and surprises himself whenever it remains lit.

Second round play is fast and frenetic. Mikey Robins blasts the History category with short and sharp answers back at Sully. The others attempt to adopt some of this staccato only to shout out random nothings at seemingly simple questions. Colin Lane runs around the set after his fair attempts at both comedy and answers.

Red Symons and Bob Downe continue to do well in the latter half of the second. Tight is the scoring as Downe impresses with his knowledge on Politics to shoot for a leading tie with Robins. Symons then casually steps over the two by one point to lead the three into the third.

Andy Lee scores zero on his second half of the second round. Along with Greg Fleet and Lane, the three are sitting over on the sides with the previous trio from the first round.

Robins tackles Elvis, Symons on 1960s Music and Downe on Broadway Musicals in the third and final. Competition is fierce between the three. Tactics are employed and they steal and sneak each other's topics to jump score all over the board. Downe suffers most as the other two keep picking up the red tiles, Broadway Musicals not the hardest of topics given the ease at their recall.

Down to the wire, Robins and Downe are throttling each other's points. In the end, Robins edges everyone out and reluctantly claims the title of Australia's Brainiest Comedian. Complete with a plastic doorstop and a donation for Autism NSW.
