Australia's Brainiest Radio Star

High school girls in the audience and the game is on again. One tries to sneak on screen a sign, only to fear the off stage hand coaxing it down and rolled.

Dark spots aplenty as the strike rate of the questions is intermittent at best and only a few showing any kinds of composure this early in the game. Burning like a flame in the dark of a toilet bowl, Bianca Dye, Sam Johnson and John Blackman skittle out, poor showing on their scores.

Brigette Duclos opens up the second round and stutters blanks for the Film section of the board. 6 later on in sport and she's already out. Matt Parkinson, despite a lengthy pause on host Sandra Sully's end, obliterates the crew nailing down 11 and 13 for Geography and the Natural World respectively. Swapping "pinion" for "plumage" in the last question isn't done and still holds the front line.

At the end of the second, Jo Stanley, Tom Gleeson and Amanda Keller straddle the last two spots in the third with 17 each. Spitting through the Matching Pairs breaker, Stanley takes a spot with Gleeson. Taking a seat on the side with Duclos, Barry Bissell and Keller.

Stanley takes on Former Child Stars, Parkinson with World War II and Gleeson on Mechanics in Physics. Like many before, the round watches on as they play it safe and keep on their tiles, fearing a venture on other topics. Stanley atrociously bombs out on the first three questions. Parkinson appears unsure of his answers, osmosis learning his underlying study plan of the era. Gleeson on the other hand, aces his picks and with such a clear step, kills any need for slim pickings off the board.

Gleeson calmly and awkwardy accepts the win, looking rather sheepish as the twenty thousand in prize money makes its journey toward Oxfam.
