For some reason I traded in Saturday's sleep and rest for a trip with old friends down to Jarvis Bay, Seven Mile Beach, or somewhere down the coast. Only three adolescent kangaroos were spotted lining the sides of the road. Full carcasses though, not half eaten corpses. Also along the road I managed to pick out a few recycled tires that were used to line the roads with reflectors. You've seen them, they're stakes of wood with a little red circle at the top. If you were to drive them down with the car you'd probably end up denting the front, or for some, the back. More and more are being made from the throwaways of tires of old. Run these babies down and they'll pop right up. It's nothing more than a slip of white plastic over the bald tire face. Make sure you know which is which if you feel venturous.
