Sound proofing for and against the screams, The Crypt Theatre of the Cat and Fiddle in Balmain makes for the intense close quarters of a theatre experience. A far more intimate and in your crotch seating arrangement than that of the SBW Stables Theatre in Kings Cross. With pasta and show just four dollars more than the show alone, it's a reasonable enough indication of the chicken pasta on offer.
A triple bill by Van Badham, Bedtime for Bastards delivers scathing entertainment from one story to the next. Vicious, brutal and unrelenting in the slashing satire. Moments of hilarity weave perfectly into the sombre beats, a fine collection of tight plays.
