Birds of Prey

While Witchblade screens at a time that just isn't comfortable no matter how many noons are set for morning, Birds of Prey managed to rest into a time slot that felt early enough to warrant watching. The premise is confusing and hinted at only brief mentions of old Batman in this New Gotham place.

In the flashback of Oracle's days before Batgirl was put down, Batman's suit is shinier than ever before. But it could have just been melting from the fire they were fighting in. Then, with no reason why or what really happened there's this "new" Gotham locale where the action takes place. What happened to the "old" Gotham with Batman?

Alfred can't have much to do if he travels across the cities to server butler duties in the Clocktower or wherever Barbara Gordon (Dinah Meyer) and her gang hang out when not in crime-fighting mode.

Another flashback presents the origin of sorts of the daughter of Batman and Catwoman, The Huntress, Helena Kyle. Her costume is just a pair of eyeballs over the ornate dress she runs around in. Baffling as to why Oracle would be worried about Huntress exposing her secret identity.

A young blonde girl comes in the end to stay with the duo to make a trio but just an episode shy of being named the Black Canary. Get meta.

If Oracle was once Batgirl and now rendered a paraplegic, why the need to drain the batteries on the wheelchair moving only a few feet?
