Bright eyes and burning trails

Comics

Inertia fills a lot in the bag of the weekly comic haul. One of these being the still rather fresh Trigger series from Vertigo. Three issues in and two reads behind. Still, there are other comics in this position...

Futurama #1

Back on the shelf as a reissue, no idea on what, if at all, a subsequent printing this may be. Kicks off the series as all number one issues should. Fun, frolicky, a nice breaker for those who might have missed the show.

Captain America and The Falcon #13

Sort of ends on a low, both with the issue being the penultimate of the series and that rather misleading or inconsequential near-non-moment. What would happen though? At least that Anti-Cap is still hanging around. One solid trip into the mind and mettle of Captain America, doused in the fires of death and watching as the world pretty much walks on by.

A Bag of Anteaters

Slow and meandering, there really isn't anything to say about this one shot. Except for that it is a one shot and its pain will only be in this issue, no other having been noted down for a pull into the box. Irritating characters with no desire to connect with them. This is basically a comic in the flash pan of one or two days of some guy. A guy with no problems or hang ups other than actually being there, wherever it is. Cruel even.

Freedom Force #2

Right, there is no sense in making this one right. The pace is gone overboard and everybody just jumps in from all over the place. Crash this party, it's already drowning. No real background info on any of these players, their punch and ram-raidery doing nothing for deep riveting story lines. Still, there is a compulsion to see this thing through to the sixth issue. Why is that? Didn't exactly like the game at all.
