Bringing Down the Hussein

Television

War coverage on the television is indeed quite a boring spectacle. Walker was on the other day, as was The Last Supper. Enterprise is a headache of mediocrity. Face to Face was on, some one read out a psalm from the Bible converted into "Aussie speak," about the range, the drover, something dinky and a little "mate" thrown in. ABC were siphoning the BBC feed of dusty springfields, having nothing else to do, watched these two soldiers scale a tank thing and draped the Star Spangled Banner over the face of a statue of Saddam Hussein. Then they took that off and bibbed him with the old Iraqi flag. It took them a looooong and drawn out forty minutes to finally pull that sucker down. Forty minutes. Enterprise started to look good. Walker looked great.
