Bussed memories

On the news they made mention of a bus load of kids getting into a crash with a truck carrying chemicals. The site was the usually unspecific "South West" location of Sydney and nothing really. The images of the highschoolers sitting on the kerb and footpath, struck with shock of near death or comicbook origins. Would have been easily ignored if not for the fact that their shirts bore emblems of the old high school time. Taking joy in that recognition and fact was eerily and a little awkwardly great.
