Clark Kent does indeed stare quite a lot into that place over to the side. A fascinating section of the real estate that leaves much in the way of frozen contemplation. People move on and the world spins round. Yet the face stays in that same position, watching, thinking, feeling a chance to believe in emotion.
Smallville, with years in hiding from viewers too cheap to hand over subscription money, nears an end of a season years in the past. And Clark and Lana finally kiss. A simple act that, in accordance with all the foreboding and deep voiced voice overs, sets in motion moves toward pushing motives and the machinations of many in the small tight circles.
