Choking on the column of life

St-st-stuttering enters now the style of play. Driven as the lungs fight for air as the trachea collapses with every other breath. Chest and abdominal muscles working out with the best they can of the situation. Tight and tired following each succession of forceful gasps and choking convulsions. Exhaustion is keeping the saliva from dripping down into the lungs. Enough coughing rips through and dries out the back of the throat. There are moans. Odd looks too. Speaking is fraught with heaving gasps of suffocation. Fun for all hours of the day, deep streaming inhalations are so very tentative.
