Rain had chosen to pay a nice visit to the rather pleasant action of freezing bodies. The soil was moist and looked more clumpy than it ever did in the previous week. A close inspection and the shadow forbearing footsteps set off a low and annoying hum. The sound was like that of mosquitoes, yet on the other end of the scale. Huge flies, the size of fingernails, buzzing about madly and creating a sense of ill. No doubt something horrible has unfolded and the decomposing foodstuffs have been uprooted. Like a bad episode of takeaway. It takes eternal vigilance.
