Criminal Intent: U Decide

Thrown up against the television screen. The sms vote hungry world and a choice over whether or not Det. Goren's ultimate nemesis Nicole Wallace saves her own day for another or runs aground and endures a Norman Osborn like farewell.

Channel Ten screens both endings within a second of each other. One features a rather gruesome death and the other features a double hit, with a little on the improbable circumstance. Both endings feature the same walk, all five or so minutes. One one minute scene seperating the two splitting into what feels like a second.

A she lives; B she dies.

Wallace would be a Lex Luthor if Goren was Superman, yet as he is more Batman, her's is a Joker, or even that of the Riddler. Given her nemesis status and character fleshing and duelling with Bobby, more likely on the former than latter. The way of her death then would be like that of Robin II, Jason Todd. Mixing too many crosses in this.

Either way the coins fall, there was no coming back for Olivia D'Abo as Wallace (or even as Hitchens).

To see this choice as a casting of that which would be canon for Criminal Intent levels the only character thus far with the mental capacity to go head-to-head with Goren.

Hateful viewers with mobile phones and voting itchy fingers decide to off. No longer will she appear and foil the brain of Goren. Now, she's just cast into the sea of the past.

Had she lived, it would have certainly been a similar fate. To be cast off and never seen again lest another battle with the Major Case Squad was in the cards.
