Slamming down a few strands from the street press—collected over the Monday not seen and the Tuesday morning—the sight of a box of fruit sitting without a horde of hands dashing in and around the neck. Landing at a time earlier than previous outings, by at least an hour, the fact that it had even made return the more startling observation.
The previous dealer produced nothing more than a box of bananas with token other fruits for quota. In this round, the rate of yellow jackets was far more sensible, though the compensation in a majority fruit taken up by the steer of waxy shiny apples, small in the palm.
Given as a one-off appearance, the second shot in the week confirmed the possibility at a return to the free grabbing madness of past a likely scene in the near future of next week. A fluke, perhaps, but only if not undone by Monday.
