Last night's X-File episode started off with Mulder's funeral. The Lone Gunmen featured among the mourners—though they should have others mourn for them as their show was too quirky for mainstream and thusly pulled—as well as plenty of people trying to sneak looks Scully's way.
Three months later, over to some ship out at sea and they find the "dead body" of Billy Miles, some kid who was taken just before Mulder was. For all intents and purposes there is no real Billy left—like that kid in the Simpsons videos—just a shell inhabited by an alien who washed off the dead skin of the deceased.
An exhumation of Mulder has them asking, if Billy could, why can't Fox? Skinner near collapses with cool black veins surging on the side of his face and then we see Krycek looming around still one handedly causing grief for all around. Skinner then tries to kill Mulder in order to save him, better that then Scully's possibly alien babe. After some intense OR time Mulder awakens joking with Scully asking, "Who are you?" in which begs the question, with Mulder half-arsedly back in the picture, what now of Doggett? He had the chance to leave the X-Files department early on in this episode but declined, now it's at the end and he's just some dude with no real purpose. Then again, Doggett need only stare down Mulder with his textured voice driving him out and insane again thus resuming his place as the otherside of the coin.
Finger tips are showing signs of wear and tear, so much so that they've started pruning - as you would with grapes, not hedges. The sternum's reaction to cold is so heartbreaking I'm having greater difficulty in breathing. Insomnia was fun when I was a kid, now it's just slowing down my mind.
