Creativity starves insanity
Strike two for another week running against the rain clouds with a brown paperbag for protection on the comics. Sitting there on the glass countertop was only one title: Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: Out of Reach.
Most of the collection is riddled with tales of Spidey so another mini-series just seemed like ripping money down for the count of sakes.
Scrambling to walk out with a new idea and new pages netted two comics in the vain of a certain style. One was Simpsons Comics #88 and the other Ruule: Ganglords of Chinatown #1.
The former was spruiked in a off-caught fashion while the latter was screaming out for hands of perusal at its high prestige sheen and low, if not absent, number of ads. Humour and something that at the time looked like it didn't have any captions or speech balloons.
