German invasion

Nothing

There was, an explosion of sorts. Among the many things to litter the house, Weet-Bix boxes stacked on top of each other. Not many, just three to five. Fluctuation dependent upon the speed of recycling. Ever present are the three 1.3 kgs cartons. Contents within are mostly sorted and most definitely dried. Magazines mostly. Not many, just a few.

Watching one German roach makes its way into the lip of one sparked the suspicion that there must have been some kind of hideout. Or worse yet, a breeding box ripe with the conditions so wanted for pests. Cool, dry and not to mention dark. And yes, there it was. Opening up the box, twenty scatter to the other end in search of some kind of escape. They silently waited while the box was taken over some water. Tappa tappa later and they were swimming madly. Quick buggers they be as they made their ways out and in all directions. Swift stamping and not as messy as anticipated.
