Creativity starves insanity
When you see kids running up and down the block in costumes you think that they're getting into the spirit of things. Then you remember that you live in Australia and you clear your mind of all things else as you want to be able to talk to the police officers later on and give them the best descriptions possible. The kids being the neighbourhood kids that I know of really won't bother with a mask and make do with the glints in their eyes and the bricks in their hands to wield terror in the ambivalent streets of the creek waters.
No, why should we celebrate Halloween when we can just wait another day?
