Here endeth The Program

And so The Program goes offline. The national youth arts and culture website funded by the Australia Council for the Arts. No more, no longer.

Quite the fun and interesting ride. Writing arts reviews and hitting more of the theatre and stage scene as a consequence is always a fantastic thing to be a part of.

All up, across the multitude of opportunities and eye openers, only two shady experiences to count for.

One in falling asleep in the middle of a show for review. Show of words, talk and bluster. Stuff Happens. Decent nap in the middle of the show with a bombing to awaken.

The other of squeezing two extra people through security for a preview screening of The Hills Have Eyes. On top of that, having a rep wave down for what came close to a pat down over piracy issues. And then the thing about walking into the projection room as the movie was playing...

An avenue for writing out some theatre reviews sees the curtains draw and the rest of the site looks dimmer by the days. Onward to other pastures of ink and perspective.

Assignments here and there sinking culture of the arts into the brain like nothing else. And the joy of arts will always remain.
