Electric was the atmosphere of the last basketball game for the seaon. Especially given toward the final two minutes. All quarters leading up to those dire and final seconds, woeful. It was like as if the Kings were teasing the crowd into a painful state of anticipation. Release in the moments of Ebi Ere's streaking start from the final time out all that was needed. They came excruciatingly close to losing out to the Razorbacks. Counting back all their missed free throws, it would have been a far larger winning margin. Sydney Kings, back-to-back winners of the NBL championship. Damn straight.
After-game buzz flowed on toward catching and flipping channels hoping for another highlight glimpse of the final moments that secured the minds of the 9000 strong support crowd. The other 609 was intermixed with rival supporters. With around eight months before the start of the new season, time to breathe and savour the spectacle.
