Creativity starves insanity
The Australian accent in Lost is hard to pick up. At least in a fashion that doesn't sound like an effort between South African and Kiwi. The eventual roll call of all these stranded survivors finally coming to terms with the strangeness of not knowing the details of everyone's basic details. Names, people, how many are there really?
With the second last leg of The Amazing Race, couples fell to the mercy of the Chinese taxi drivers. Severe communication issues freaking the four couples left. Slicing all sorts of time and challenges, it ended up over a battle of unlocking a padlock among hundreds of padlocks. Palpable frustration evident in all bar the cool and collected Kris and John. Hayden's fingers bleeding far more than any other of the women taking the road block. Their demise all gone away at a single click. Despite the actual result leading into the last leg, it was a beautiful ending.
There was a hint of Jeremiah with the team from Stargate Atlantis finding themselves on a planet with no one over the age of 25. An episode such as this, coupled with the constant notes across the spectrum of opportunities pretty much hold a gun to the head of 24-year-olds still unsure on whether or not they want to make a name for themselves before they break out and over the hill at 25. Aging like this is a fist to the face of deliberation and insecurity.
