Creativity starves insanity
The first viewing was marred by the fact that the reel of film either took a swig of highly concentrated cleaning fluid when it wasn’t supposed to or played victim to a gremlin looking to reclaim the light. The five minutes that it did manage to keeps its head clear and free from the images of death held interesting. So interesting that finding out what happened after the seventh minute proves too hard to ignore. A week since the incident left the screen all blank and silent it appeared again. Making sure the previous experience of watching those first minutes didn't double up the second viewing commenced at about the same time the first chose to leave the world.
Like any other movie of science fiction of a slightly dystopic nature, the film sported the usual blue hue tinge mixed with the general granite feel to almost all of the surfaces. What seemed like an illusion at first soon turned out to be fact as the rest of the audience were well above the age of fresh faces being the norm. A movie where the poster features Tom Cruise in profile is a good film to watch. Mission: Impossible being the last one. The film ends on the usual exoneration of the title character and a homely cottage by the seaside.
Overall the film proved to be a well balanced mix of action in a whodunnit twisted slightly for sci-fi.
