Neuromancer

Borrowed a copy of William Gibson's Neuromancer from my ablocal library back a few weeks. In it I found this scratchie. 
See the lower-left corner with the number 012041-030? You shouldn't. That means the ticket is now void. The panel usually has the words "VOID IF REMOVED." But then how would I know that if I found the ticket?
I never got around to finishing the novel. I could only manage the first chapter. It was flooded with people and weird, unheard of descriptions. He may be a celebrated writer, but the book is no fun to read.
