One More to Go

From the start of the game it looked like the Kings were way outclassed by the likes of the Wildcats. Hadn't watched a live match where the Kings were trailing for most of the game, an odd feeling.

The Lion ran around nearly naked after coming down from the rafters. Helped start a couple of the waves, the middle section of the Centre let the crowd down before the third attempt when it managed to swim around the arena four or five times. The waves were a one shot deal. When the cheerleaders danced for the other timeouts no one could concentrate hard enough to put in the effort. Some old guy to the right looked as if he was about to lose his house if the Kings lost the game. There was extreme tension weighing on the crowd when the clock ran into the final minute.

Shane Heal took a three at the same time the Kings were fouled. Up to the free throw line, sunk in the two baskets and put themselves out just four points with 11 seconds to the final buzzer. No one got up until it was official and certain that they had won the first game of the Grand Final.

Just one more to go.
