Three weeks later and the replacement Jaspers, though squeakier than the first pair, prove that the strain of walking across tiles, carpet and linoleum is too much. Cracking under the pressure of even walking up and down a few flights of stairs every day, more than just hairlines appear.
Creaking through the State Library and watching the faces of the people as they hear shoes from a hall away was fun. Fun only lasts so long as the party stays well ahead of itself. Not to open itself up to the unseen waters of puddles and even of blankets of air.
Cast off they must, and with that, the Paradox pair. Of a crazy horse pelt and texture, the third team find themselves stepping up to the challenge. Far heavier than the first two, as would be the weight of bricks or the stepping style of Herman Munster, they speak quietly. No sound outside the anger as they stomp on panels and anything between the sole and ground.
Destruction is afoot with powerful and menacing steps.
