Prelude to a roar

Writing

Fighting against the doubt and strain of reading one too many familiar words over and over again, the reimagination of a previous article is looking good for another set of eyeballs to make audience.

Highly expecting feedback, and possibly a rejection, news left its wake with an elation of skill. That which has been given and sunken prior only now a matter of concern for the uncertain. Near enough as complete, a phone call to the publicity department of the Sydney Kings was met with resounding silence playing with a prelude of deflection.

Wielding no command or patience with conversation over the phone, let alone against strangers, there was hardly any thought as to its bearing on the situation. Futile efforts in securing quality photos for the article were given nothing in their paltry effort. Thankfully, the editor of the magazine had already made a call and siphoned two shots for the short.

No power. The only way is down. Or along a plateau.
