Continuing the non-event freak side of a mondoburn, the television pretty much cleared itself out of anything really worth expansive concentration. That was left to the pile of comics staring down the barrel of dust.
Unbelievably, just a few weeks ago there was a discussion on the pull of Donnie Darko. More specifically, a certain word that held some sort of inner beauty within itself. Things are starting to clear up on what exactly happened to Harry while he was "away" following the crash crazy events of his dad, the Green Goblin.
Nazi goose steppers are fleshing out now to more than just crazy for power. Now they're crazy for the power of the Vril. The art is still a knock out, underneath the words and words and words blanketing more and more of the screen.
Somehow, the reveal on the final page wasn't much of a shock. That said, the lead up to the flush was holding the fort strongly enough to spin out a few more clues as to what might be happening.
Couple of issues ago it was Nicholas Cage as a cop. This time, it's Bruce Campbell as an usher. The likeness is pretty uncanny and rather fun to just look at. Peter's old not-really-a-friend friend covered in the vibranium still hasn't made up his mind about what to call himself. If anything. With Charlie's frustration comes to old spiteful trick of taking out the loved ones of Spider-Man. Why can't they just be left alone for a few years?
And now... villains fighting villains on who is the cooler, hipper, stronger villain. Even though previous issues were pretty down and low, this one picked up the pace. Unfortunately, Mary Jane and the Green Goblin found themselves waiting for Spider-Man to hit the top of a bridge.
Holy flashback, it's a Sentinel. Only this time, it's spouting something religious. That is pretty strange. Not so much as the Danger Room becoming a sentient threat. If that is what it seems.
Thankfully, they took a lot of time to read. Even more time was spent trying to remember through a sifting mind.
