Frost still held its ground in the morning and the freshly shaven head kept on squeezing every last bit of warmth it could. The Comic Shop had already opened by the time the train pulled up to the station. Usually, if it can be done, the train ride is taken some time before the doors even open.
It hasn't happened that way for a while now.
From the outside the new millennium trains still look as though they're being finished up. From the inside it's another matter altogether.
The first ride was blinded by giddiness at their newness. The second time was a little more reserved as the time was spent to actually soak it all in. The seats still feel wider and the train feels that much comfortable a ride. Whether or not it was an intentional spook or it was for real the in-car announcement mentioned something about a ticket inspection going on at the time. Very thoughtful as the last car was getting more and more passengers who for some reason got off at the next station. The ticker also displayed the stations the train would be making a stop at. It sounds as though they've hired two more people to do the voices.
Still no indication of time.
