Some weeks back a friend handed over a form to join the ALP. Nothing major, $24 and a membership was had. Forgot all about it until the card came in. Since it expires in December, feels like a rip-off. Four months gone wasted when it would have been idled away. The Democrats won't allow dual party memberships; might have been good.
