Supanova 2004

Comics

Slashed right index knuckle closing up nicely from coming second place in the comicbook trivia, prized with Indiana Jones and Kill Bill Volume 2 one sheets. Taking up entire doors that don't exist, they join the others such as an Olympic volleyball poster and Morpheus of The Matrix Reloaded in getting dark and put away to be forgotten for years or even months.

Talks again were the remaining refuge of the convention. Most of the floor was given to noise that made listening to said talks that much harder. Actually bothered to ask a few questions, but these were found in the sessions with Nalini Krishan and Eliana Dona from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Only given that nobody else could think of questions to ask these two actresses. Dona looked pretty damn familiar.

Noticed a face or two from the Atari booth, couldn't work up the bother to ask them catch up questions. One of which was to find a way back into their offices after the resoundingly bad effort thrown in during the interview the first and probably only time there.

Felt no reason to visit the now menacing line that is the Artist's Alley or even to really look at the other booths. Thirty minutes, or closer to forty all up, were spent standing in line waiting to get the second half of the first twenty or so Ultimate Spider-Man issues signed by Bendis. Three times waiting that is. Had it been done in one shot, considerably less so.

Chairs were still as uncomfortable as the previous Supanova and food was still a walk away from the high prices on site. There were two blondes, one handing out flyers and the other being Silvestri's wife, that almost looked like they modelled their look on the other.

Almost surrendered to the pressure of buying The Matrix Comics after missing out on them the first time and grabbing either Jinx or Goldfish as their stock numbers were plentiful. Almost. Trades still sitting at home were the reason not to break.

Didn't have a reason to wait in line for George Takei, David Carradine, Anthony Wong or Xenia Seeburg, but the thought of it appeared after the close.
