Nothing was explicitly planned to appear within Last #22 of this week. Total shock then, to find that a rewritten, and slightly restyled article, on the Sydney Kings Lion staking a place in the centre fold. Rechristened as A Mascot's Tale, it's the result of an arduous and fretful period of editing, editing and cursing at the thought of bringing something "different" to the "same."
Drop it on its spine and the magazine falls open to a page shooting slightly over one thousand words opposite a rather stock selection photo of the Lion in front of his cubs.
Interesting to see Kings management choosing this over a myriad of others they may have at their disposal. At least the consistency in re-establishing the mystique remains. No luck in scoring that headless shot as seen in research in another Lion article, Fur the love of the game.
