Certainly unexpected was the sight of another envelope from Canada, with stamps untouched by a franking machine, and bearing again the aardvark Cerebus.
Inside, a signed second printing of Cerebus #164 with a more pronounced Sandman parody, an order form for the collected books of Cerebus and another form letter dated September 14, 2004. This time, with only a smattering of fourteen on the day Dave Sim wrote the letter, it comes across as being on the other side of the wave, the washout as the trickling re-enters after the massive deluge that hit the Aardvark-Vanaheim offices earlier in the experiment.
There was no outright plea for this issue this time, a letter of thanks handed in for the previously sent #167 being the carrier of that pigeon. Compulsion will lead to sending off another letter of thanks (and possibly wrapping an Aussie fiver inside) and if another issue comes back, head spinning may invariably result.
