Talkin' 'bout your Generation - Soapy scraps

Rush to the telly with opening theme tune and the game is on between young and old and the flabby bit in between. Kirk Pengilly links up with Amanda Keller for the Baby Boomers as Kat Stewart joins Charlie Pickering to make up Generation X. Some one named Rhys Uhlich with Josh Thomas makes for Generation Y and with such an unfamiliar guest, that's an indictment for knowing the breed of celebrity for this block.

Baby Boomers out of the block quick to snap up most if not all of the first round. Television in this case tuning back to the old hazy days of the 70s and early 80s. Definitely advantageous to be suckling the boob tube in its formative years burning the cathode rays.

Kitsch pastiche of the bare set elements. Fantastic plastic era of the 70s back dropping Shaun Micallef as the 80s garage notion rests up behind the teams. Future past flying car visions on the rest of the set. So mod, so chunky with the curves of the panels and vidscreen.

Third Drawer Down providing an interesting flash in the box of strange knick knacks and loose ends. The soap saver/shaker what looks a cheese grater to froth and suds up the sink with soap bars and/or slivers to wash dishes with is a stunning glimpse at the opportunities for scrounging every bit of domestic leftover.

The Powers That Be ringing the host phone off the hook from all the jokes. Poor taste, bad and flat but the execution more than delivers the puff pastry.

Roughly nothing between the teams, only six points breaking apart the party between fore and aft.

Final round end game ultimate decider challenge presents the generations with a table setting. Far more goblets and utensils than a chopsticker would see, even the players find it excessive.

Llloyd the butler offers nothing more than a handy pair of white gloves to walk with Micallef. Cursory appearance with no casting vote for the experience, his appearance is all fluff and in a puff. The winning place setting, as well as the game and Micallef's own second place trophy, to the Baby Boomers.
