After a harrowing trek through India, Lenny and Karyn—otherwise possibly known as the magnetic team—were eliminated from the race. To me they have been known as the "magnetic team" purely for the fact that their personalities and drives didn't come anywhere near what you would expect for two people to exist within the same room, let alone a relationship. Sure, there is that adage about how opposites attract and similarities between two extinguish the flame and bore each other to hell, but they pretty much never agreed on anything and it really showed. Demoralized right from the start it looked to me as though Lenny was dumped right there and then when they were told they had been eliminated as they stepped lastly into Agra.
On the otherside of things the team of Nancy and Emily were shaken horrendously by their time in India. The people there just gave them hell pretty much all throughout. If there was a reason to never visit India this episode—and I think the next—are the key to sanity and living with less stress. In one heated exchange, Karyn totally wanted to rip the taxi driver who claimed he knew where he was going but just drove around for thirty minutes aimlessly before parking near an information centre. The only taxi experiences I've had in Australia like that were when the driver told me to get out and walk the two blocks. Nicely done there. When they were told that they had come in at fifth, and thus missing the cut for elimination they were so damned relieved. This show is gripping.
