The Chronicle seems like it might resemble First Wave if not for the lack of a major over-arching conspiracy on the invasion of aliens. But there is a Pig Boy that used to run around with some Nerds. Vengeful Nerds. The colouring in the show must have been kicking around to make it seem a little different. The change over from AUTO to PAL worked out evenly even if with a little blurbing. On second thought, the lead in this looks a little like that Wiehl from Bull. But Tucker sounds too much like Parker when heard at just the wrong speed. This show feels like a good one to admit watching.
But then on the lookout for familiar faces turns the dial back a few hours and onto what looks like an amalgamation of Freaks and Geeks and The Wonder Years. There's that Natasha Melnick—who was the idolised one in Freaks and Geeks —and that guy who was Biff Tannen in the Back to the Future films. But who goes and puts those defibrillator paddles up to anyone's head just to scare them? Shocking.
Joe Millioniare only just started but the off-side comments from the ladies are hilarious given the fact that the voice-overs all over the place constantly mention the fact that no, he doesn't have any millions as of yet. But he is one hell of a Hassellhoff.
