The question kept arising, "How can he possibly make his clothes disappear?" during flashes of the teasers to the show. The Quicksilver gland it seems is like what would happen if you went with sweat into overdrive. Totally drenching your clothes from head to toe. The third volume of Spider-Woman had some villian who was supposed to be invisible but kept casting a shadow. In Hollow Man, Kevin Bacon ran around naked. In this new series at least we get to see the view from the head of the man who is not there. As the retina is also invisible the images that the eyes see aren't the same as a normal visible person would behold.
An H.G. Wells Invisible Man movie poster on the wall of some La Arana cafe in the second show was a nice hint, albeit a little too forced. It already has a second season. Hopefully this could fill the void left by that great show, Now and Again. At least Farscape has returned.
