Warped Genius

Spent the middle third of the day of yesterday lugging around a comicbook box. Seemingly flimsy, the brown non-descript box had little flecks of flakes flaking and flying away. Inside was a GT album that was a little warped from the anxious-almost-sweaty fingertips. But not too warped. Also inside the box were two Barry Ween collections. Thought about reading them but that would defeat the purpose of their original purchase. Still, did take a look at the pages.

Noticed that on the inside back cover, a security tag, like the ones found in bookstores. Sleek and white, underside full of what looked look stylistic impressions of wires. It would have been okay, except the spine was so near and the tag/sticker was tacky. Very tacky. Spent a half hour past midnight working over the blu-tac over the underside of the security measure. Removes the tack better than the thing upon itself did. Ill effects seen only as a little warping of the area just next to the spine. Very inconvenient. Felt like a ham.

Kings Comics are not the place to buy tradepaperbacks or graphic novels.
