Tuesday night loitering outside the Dendy Opera Quays. Moderate for an otherwise freezing climate in the city. There to catch sight of The White Masai and a new face for the season.
Early on the stake out and the proliferation of red bags makes things sway. People collect to form a nice and wavy queue at the box office and still no sight of the right kind of red. Disappearing into the cinema, the mass of people are no more after the session start.
Ninety minutes on from the post and there appears to be no real progress in sticking a trapeze. Tickets in the back pocket stay in the back pocket and that's the end of that. Patrons at the restaurants around the Dendy Quays watch on as a few passers-by nearly face the flying yo-yo on their chins.
Side experiment with a dangling umbrella hanging unattended off the railing for at least two hours looks good. Results show that even the man looking on with a curious brow won't touch it. That it is not raining may have affected things. Needs more trials. Needs more time. Needs more umbrella.
