The Miss Universe contest for 2002 shown last night was pretty easy to watch having it follow Mission: Impossible minutes before. Out of nowhere in a throng of swinsuit/bikini clad women there is a blonde supposedly from Australia. There was certainty inside this skull that the Miss Australia contest, nothing more than charity-related, was long gone. And yet here is this person from the island continent standing shoulder to shoulder with Daisy Fuentes and some other sashsay wearing beauty.
The last question of the night was selected from Sydney, Australia. "What makes you blush?" Score big for the Russian who answered "When I say something wrong," making the bearded interpreter work for his money. Didn't seem to be wrong there with the clincher and pearly crowned the winner under the tiara.
