From all the autograph hounding that I deftly tried to be a part of last year I was often lost in a sea of foreign speaking tall people. Left, right and centre there would be people talking and jabbering on in languages that I could barely make out. From that I thought that it might not be too bad an idea to learn a new language or two. It wasn't until sometime in the past two months that my inbox has actually seen any sign of the lessons, this despite the fact that I signed up for the whole thing—including the weekly emails to be sent right away as they said—in around December last year. As they are free the sound files that accompany the lessons each week get wiped and some amount of guesswork is involved in trying to figure out how to pronounce the words. I'm hoping to barely speak Spanish and German by March next year.
