Horrendous testing and looking at what PHP does trying to parse an XML document. Mainly here only as a chance to learn more about how to read and parse the document myself. As such, a very bad look at what the raw elements look like.

On one of the few remaining travels from around the complex and with arms at the pacing ready. Knock back on twenty five for the break watches on as four milk bottles sit at the ready for the service lift to take them away. Away from it all and away from the menacing boxes, looming large with their intent to fold and cardboard the wares and worries away. Two against four and the odds are all even with ratios to spare.

Crowd powered media goes with Skim milk straight from the cow.

After the media screening of Tales from Earthsea with Ryano at the Dendy Newtown, a stop over by Newtown Thai for lunch. And, just like the main strip is so plentiful of, a plate of Thai at a nicely good price of only $6.

What's on the plate: an upsided bowl of rice, flower cut carrots, crunchy brocolli, crunchy cauliflower, chicken slices and strips, pepper and garlic. Don't forget the baby corn. Plus a fork and spoon.

Fresh and tight tasting.

And so there is an adventure in the air when the mind that rots looks out into the garden for a bit of fresh air only to choke back on the wayward flies which manage to escape from the cluthes of the spider holdling court at that time of the morning.

Preview pass to Spider-Man 3 preview screening at George Street in the city. For some reason, collecting back the preview passes, they were all thrown out from the night's session. And yet, oodles and oodles of the bundles of the preview passes from the April 30 session were still lying around. Who knows why.

Neck needs to be limber to watch some action scenes. Forget about catching this at the IMAX. Brilliant film really, touching and emotional.

Strawberry sundae from Rashay's Cafe on Macquarie Street in Liverpool. For tonight's menu, all desserts being half price and smoking in your face comes free for sitting next to inconsiderates.

Consisting of all things, strawberry, dollops of icecream and the blood essence of strawberries made into the syrup of their fallen own. Or it's just sugared up with red colouring. Same thing really. All done and set into a triangular dish.

Apparently, one of the more hirsuite waiters, who would put his well follicled arms over your plates, sports a most affected accent if ever there was one to guess and field. Spanish? Italian? Who knows.

After the walk around and mental burn around that is soaking in the art and sights of the Tezuka exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW, food!

Lunch here is at the bowels of the Galeries Victoria, shortly after stopping off at Books Kinokuniya. A Japanese/Korean outlet to be exact.

Here we see an example of finding the cheapest meal in a food court of otherwise not so cheap prices and plates. Fish fillets in honey with some kind of chicken, possibly honey chicken, and a mound of fried rice.

Like your food crunchy and sweet? Cook it in some honey and then let that sit until it hardens. Like lollies really. Only with fleshy bits of animal inside.

All up? One single grape for the exchange. Outside of slang, that's a fiver.

Delvac and Breaker J, both regulars from the Comic Shop, taking a breather between sessions of checking out the art work and visuals of Tezuka - The Marvel of Manga at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Man, that Osamu Tezuka really loves his stories about metamorphosis and gender switching like the liquid paper on his art boards.

Apparently, there's a no camera policy in here. But that didn't stop some other bloke walking around with his DSLR snapping crazy dozens on each and every piece. Man, that bloke just went feral.

Hundreds of the thousands at Flight Centre

One man walks around the city for 30 minutes from the break of Wynyard all the way to the Flight Centre centre at Ultimo.

There, the travel consultant, Laura (who might be rather fresh in the chaotic banks of the FC for she did not have her own business card), finalises the details and plans for the trip later on this year to the middle of the heart in Kentucky.

One of the travel consultants, spotting this wad of cash, proffers to shoot some photos with the cash all flapping about the face.

Chose to decline, too showy a notion of money really.

The Chaser's War on Everything at ABC Studio 22

And here is the end of another taping of The Chaser's War on Everything. On tonight's episode, a bit about the Bra Boys, the Life of The Crazy Warehouse Guy (not shown on the broadcast), Flashbeer under The Ad Road Test and the Chaser boys sending up the blokes from Wolfmother.

Here, they find roadies fooling around with their mike set ups and getting them ready for the onslaught of the audience up to meet them post-taping.

In the warm up before the show, they were handing out Twist Marshmallow lollies. Andrew Hansen said something later on in the night about them plugging people up from the expansion at the back door. Hard time on the can? Who knows? They were great tasting lollies all the same.

Tight show, quick and out of there with only one reshoot, the intro.

"Unless I miss my guess, we're in for one wild night." - King Leonidas, 300

Down the steps of Darling Harbour IMAX, cosplayers in spartan wear out from the early night session of 300.

Not one of them walking around in the same kind of skin gear as seen in the film starring Gerard Butler and David Wenham . That is, bare chested and ripping of work outs done over flipping monster truck tires.'

When did Spartans wear jeans?

There are places to work and places to do nothing at all. In the current adventures of Return to Parsing, it is a mixed match meld of the two. Over looking King Street Wharf on two of the three sides, it's hell with harbour views. Only it's not really hell and more a luxury in doing what grammar and style demons are all about.

Note the awkward nature of the cabinet underneath the desk and the angle of the computer and keyboard. Ergonomically unsound to the extreme, it's a placing made to look out into the harbour and wharf. Otherwise, just the plain view of blinds or the face/back of the head of the bloke on the cubicle in the right off panel.

And yes, it's super fine ears that pick up a whispering phone when not looking at the display flash red with an incoming.

On a fat slab to sit on outside the Entertainment Centre in Haymarket, Sydney. In the background, the Market City building with Paddy's Market underneath.

Been a long time since making a trip inside with the stalls and markets open. Usually, when catching a Kings game, the doors are closed.

Double shot of alignment as the gulls in the foreground sport headgear the likes of another gull and a pigeon. Reception and video feed back to base, a little on the unknown.

Of all the places to have a panel to protect, it's a dead sight assassin that lazy eyes in on the small plate right here.

Walking with ghosts who walk with strides of phased imbalance

Down in the bowels of the State Theatre in the lead up to the showing of Puppet Up! Uncensored by The Jim Henson Company.

Other blokes would come by and try and catch themselves from having their faces caught off guard in the frame. Wine goblets and long necks at the bar behind the walk would peer occasionally trying to figure out what lies in the room beyond the sign which says Gents.

It's a wonderful set up they have in the room outside the men's toilets. Very ornate, very much a castle spread and the furniture is hard on slouching. Would make for a grand games room. Or even the room which displays a statue and comic book collection. Space is always an issue, plenty of it here.

Oh, but do notice the slight scratching of the forearm with the red lines. Not straight lines, but a little raw for the matter. Skin comes peeling off a little with only the slightest hint of blood.

And this is the result of having gone a little too rough with the heavy 50 kilo boxes from Diamond for the Comic Shop.

Leap frogs to some call lumberjacks by name.

Room temperature with visions of the voice to wake up to

So for those of you playing at home, at work, or even those who are keeping score on the shoulders of the midget in the closet, here's a run down of what's going down in the room where there is a single bed and little else. And even the bed itself is less than that.

Puppet Angel from that SMILE TIME episode of ANGEL starring David Boreanaz as the vampire with a soul turned into a vampire puppet with a soul.

Then there's the sound of heaven, the voice from the Princess Angel Goddess, or more obtusely, that which presents the voice of the voice.

RoboCop battle-damaged 12 inch action figure from McFarlane Toys. It's good, it's damaged, it's battle-weary, it's battle damaged and weary. Not so crazy hot on the playability though.

Stack of recently read comics with the latest one on the top being ULTIMATE CIVIL WAR SPIDER-HAM FRISIS. Needs sorting to standing up straight. A little curling action is going down on top there.

Underneath that is a box on a box next to a box. On top of that box next to a box underneath a box, the stack of comics that are waiting to be read. On top of that, CONTINUITY from AIT/PlanetLar. There are about 80 or so other comics just underneath that.

Back under the RoboCop, Amazing Fantasy #15 made into a statue wall hanging thingy. Beating Fan801 to the punch in picking it up, those with fluid assets will win in such a competition.

Beside that, next to the wall, a Kabuki statue from Clayburn Moore Studios.

Behind those you will not find a copy of BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT COMIC BOOK Volume 2. Nosiree. But you will find Volume 1. Hilarious, people. Hilarious ever more so if you loved the movies.

Between Spidey and the comics, a few review books from Ballistic Publishing. Namely THE ART OF ODDWORLD and EXPOSE 2.

Underneath that, just in the shadows, a Spider-Man bust from Bowen Designs. The cool one looking over the Manhattan skyline.

All of the merchandise and comics coming from the Comic Shop

There is a vampire in the mirror, check out his reflection.

Time amongst the older life

Witness them, the older generation, in their natural social setting outside their homes, at ease in the audience of a live theatre show.

Interval between spots of tale recounts in Toni Lamond's life story in Times of My Life. Written and co-directed by her son Tony Sheldon, an interesting look back on her heady life through the arts of theatre, cabaret and television.

Once playing at the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli, though no longer, it's one very large call of the older set of society. Many, if not all of the references from Lamond picked up by the grey hairs.

Only one person sits in the seats under the age of 32. And even then, that bracket is higher still.

They're prompt, that's for sure.

Forty winks past seven on the morning train

Early morning on the train to the city and this bloke is already dead asleep by the time the eight car rolls around.

Most passengers stay wary of waking him up, others just remain bemused. With it being fairly crowded in the other carriages, there apparently isn't that much of a space issue in the last car.

Passing Guildford station, his snore cranks into overdrive and rustles the rest of the sleepers, but only just a little.

Crushed underfoot to see the light of day

After a ride in the rain following a session behind the counter, the end comes and a seat belt comes off. Standing in the rain as the rear door closes shut, the hands find out that the shades are not on the person.

Pause to gather and a quick turn around breaks out the sound of CRUNCH!.

There in the grass, exploded parts of the Oakleys like taking a PHP function to the sunglasses with the delimiter being a slither.

Hands quiver and the heart sinks in picking the pieces up from the ground. Dirty, dirty, dirty. And with it being made of plastic, what are the chances of survival?

Took a few minutes to pop all the parts back into each other. Second time over two years that something like this has occurred. Doubtful of a third successful recovery.

Last straw.

Box in the background is from the British Freight Company.

Every time the feet find themselves at Sydney Olympic Park, it's a detour of minutes and plenty of mind in wandering. Over to the sea of poles bearing the names of the 40,000 sum volunteers during and for the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.

Never met any of the other people on the pole. Figured they just as well assume their anonymity along with the rest of the water.

A little walk, a little look and a few flashbacks to the days.
All about the ego really. And seeing the name etched in large.
